Dr Ajaya Kashyap presents brand new Face Rejuvenation technique

Chandigarh, 3 April, 2013, Specttrum News: The KAS Fluid Lift technique, developed by double American Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Ajaya Kashyap, is claimed to be the single solution for face rejuvenation. Breast augmentation is another area, where Dr Kashyap has been greatly successful.

At a press conference held at Chandigarh Press Club here today, Dr Ajaya Kashyap, Director, Medspa Aesthetic Clinic, RK Puram, New Delhi, said, “This treatment is non-surgical and gives long lasting effects. The technology uses the individual's own fat cells which are then harvested and enriched with platelets, growth factor & stem-cells. In a previously described method, known as Vampire Facelift, Hyaluronic acid fillers, Restylane or Perlane, were used to supplement the effects of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). We have changed this since the results of the temporary fillers were not long lasting.”

Talking about breast augmentation Dr Kashyap added, “Amongst women an inappropriate breast contour is one major cause of inducing a feeling of dejection and low self esteem. For such women in distress, Breast augmentation is most effective method of balancing a difference in breast size and improves body form. It is a safe method of improving the breasts and is being practiced for over 40 years now. The technique makes the breasts look fuller and enhance their shape thus making women feel more comfortable while wearing certain styles of clothing and swimwear after such enhancement. Above all, it gives a terrific boost to their self esteem.”

Anyone at any age can be a candidate for the KAS fluid facelift. It is minimally invasive and improves the texture and health of the skin as well as replenishing or enhancing the volume where it is either lost or has been deficient.

Dr Kashyap has done this procedure in young ladies and men in their 20s with skin which does not look fresh, has scars or lacks fullness. This procedure has also been performed on ladies and men in their 70s who want a three dimensional rejuvenation of the face including volume restoration and skin rejuvenation.

The first step is obtaining good quality PRP. The candidate's own blood is taken which is similar in amount to the blood usually withdrawn for blood tests. The PRP is isolated with the help of an FDA approved method. A specialized technique increases the platelets, the clotting cells, that contain large quantities of Growth factors. This helps to stimulate the body to produce more tissues including more collagen and other tissues. This is a highly specialized technique which requires expertise.

The hollowness of the cheeks and folds around the nose are filled up and the skin gets a youthful glow. Dr Kashyap has derived an original technique, where there is practically no downtime and the results keep improving for the next several months. Since no artificial fillers are used there is no lumps and unevenness; since the products come from your own body, there is no chance of rejection or reaction. The process does not involve any cuts or scars and it can easily be done; in a day or two before an upcoming event. The only side effect can be some swelling and very minor bruising. There is little need for any medications other than over the counter analgesics for a day or so. The results are very natural and extraordinary resulting in a beautiful youthful face.

Dr. Ajaya Kashyap is expert in Plastic, Reconstructive and Breast Surgery. He is India's only double American Board certified surgeon - Diplomat American Board of Plastic Surgery and Diplomat American Board of General Surgery. In 2005 he moved to New Delhi after 16 years of practicing medicine in the USA.

He had a very successful private Plastic Surgery practice at Metrowest Medical Center, U-Mass-Memorial Marlborough Hospital, Leonard-Morse Hospital in Natick and Nashoba Valley Medical Center. He had an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Kashyap has been the medical director of Aesthetic Center at Metrowest since 2001 and was the attending plastic surgeon at The Wound Clinic in Framingham, Massachusetts.

He is a Fellow of American College ofSurgeons (FACS), an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), and an ex-member of Massachusetts Medical Society and American Medical Association.

Dr. Kashyap completed his fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Massachusetts, U.S.A., following completion of a surgical residency at Robert Packer Hospital (Guthrie Clinic), Sayre, Pennsylvania, and Surgical Research at UCLA. Dr. Kashyap has received several distinctive awards for his outstanding research and excellence in academia, including obtaining the highest score nationally (United States) on the annual in-service examination in his final surgical residency year.

Dr. Kashyap has done extensive research in the field of surgery and plastic surgery. He has published and presented over 35 research papers internationally.

Chandigarh, April 23, 2013, Specttrum News: Renowned author Vijay Singal is all set to release his latest book ‘Hinduism- From Maya toMoksha’ at London Parliament tomorrow. Writer of highly acclaimed coffee books ‘SparklingPunjab’, ‘Ganga- A Divinity in Flow’ and many other books on spirituality and human psychology, he will present the essence of Hinduism in a nutshell on an international level in his latest offering. With Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra giving a foreword to Vijay’s coffee table books, his work has been appreciated worldwide.

Quoting a brief note about the book, Mr Vijay Singal said, “This book is no ordinary work on Hinduism. It, in fact, is an academic study, done in a dispassionate and comprehensive manner, of an inclusive way of life, which has evolved along-with the evolution of mankind. It brings, to the doorstep of a common reader, the travails of the history, creative genius behind mythology, essence of philosophy, various means of spiritual attainment and utility or otherwise of practices of this most misunderstood and maligned religion. Both the strengths and weaknesses of this religion of eternity, Sanatan Dharma, have been flagged emphatically.”

Vijay Singal, author

“Misplaced perception of multiplicity of gods has been demolished, with great conviction. This book has highlighted the fact that Hinduism, though religion of antiquity, is not only equally relevant today, but is also fully equipped to face the challenges of future. Such a perspective can instill bonding, pride and confidence in adherents of this great stream of liberal thought. It can also help others in acquiring an appropriate understanding of this great tradition of universal brotherhood,” he added.

Chandigarh/Ludhiana, 6 May, 2013, Specttrum News: “Asthma symptoms may flare up from time to time. There is often no apparent reason why symptom flare up. However, some people find that symptoms are triggered, or made worse, in certain situations. It may be possible to avoid certain triggers which may help to reduce symptoms,” Dr Jasmeet Kaur, Consultant, Salt Room Therapy said on the eve of ‘World Asthma Day’ in Chandigarh today.

“To make people aware about this health hazard and in order to help them with highly acclaimed worldwide medication -the salt room therapy, we are offering special discounts on 7th May 2013, the World Asthma Day. A flat 50% cash discount on the therapy session is one among them. This offer can be availed at both Chandigarh and Ludhiana centres,” she added further.

Asthma is caused by inflammation in the airways. It is not known why the inflammation occurs. The inflammation irritates the muscles around the airways, and causes them to squeeze. This causes narrowing of the airways. It is then more difficult for air to get in and out of the lungs. This leads to wheezing and breathlessness.

People suffering from asthma, various skin and respiratory diseases, which are not fully curable in allopathy now have a hope for relief as the world famous ‘Salt Room Therapy from London’ centres are located at SCO 21-22 in Sector 19-C, Chandigarh and SCF 26, FF, Main Market, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana. By spending a few minutes inside the “salt cave” one can feel rejuvenated and a few sessions can virtually relieve a person from the drugs without causing any side effects.

The healing microclimate of a natural salt mine is reproduced, monitored and controlled inside a spacious medical chamber by a special medical device ‘Halogenerator’. The device emits microfine particles of salt and regulates their concentration by using laser eye monitoring system at pre-specified levels, along with controlling the temperature and regulating the humidity. The Salt Room gives the feeling of snow filled environment. Children as young as from six months of age can benefit from this therapy, which reduces the dependency on medicines.

Chandigarh, May 20, 2013, Specttrum News: Renowned author Vijay Singal released his latest book ‘Hinduism – From Maya to Moksha’ at Chandigarh Press Club here today. The book has been earlier launched by Lord Swaraj Paul at the House of Commons, London Parliament too. Writer of highly acclaimed coffee table books ‘Sparkling Punjab’ and ‘Ganga - A Divinity in Flow’ and many other books on spirituality and human psychology, Vijay Singal has presented the essence of Hinduism in a nutshell on an international level in his latest offering. With Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra giving a foreword to Vijay’s coffee table books, his work has been appreciated worldwide.
The main reason behind launching the book in Chandigarh is the author’s roots which are in Punjab as Vijay Singal belongs to Malerkotla.

Book release at Chandigarh Press Club

“There are only few writers who are doing well to explore Indian culture, life and religion on a worldly platform and Vijay Singal is one of them. I enjoyed Mr Singal’s earlier work especially his earlier book ‘Sparkling Punjab’ and ‘Ganga - A divinity in Flow’ as they capture the cultural spirit of India,” were the words of Lord Swaraj Paul in appreciation of Mr Singal while honoring him at the London event last month.
“I am impressed with the content of the book and think that this book is the need of the hour as the basic principles of the religion are forgotten by our young generation. They can learn essence of Hinduism in a nutshell from this book and can bring their life on right track which in result will improve the quality of their life”, he had added further.

About the Author

Born in 1951 at Malerkotla, Punjab, VIJAY SINGAL is an engineer by training and a bureaucrat by choice. A 1976 Batch Indian Revenue Service officer, he held various positions with the Government of India over a period of 3 decades before retiring in 2010.

Widely travelled in India and abroad, Vijay Singal is a keen observer of human behavior. He initially started writing more than 20 years ago, starting off with penning down his thoughts on various issues of human behavior, happiness & contentment. As an administrator with the Government of India, he met hundreds of people, and varied kinds of situations. These became the corner stone of his observations. His first published work come in early 2003, with the publication of ‘Behind Psychology: Searching for the roots’ and then ‘Psyche of the common man’ in the year 2004.

Lord Swaraj Paul (centre) and Vijay Singal (right) at the London Parliament

His body of work over the new few years was published by Wisdom tree through a series of three small format 100 page books in the area of Self-help, Spirituality & human-God relationship.

In the year 2006, he also started working of a narration plus illustration (coffee table format) book on the river Ganga along with a Delhibased journalist & photographer, Atul Bhardwaj. Completed & published in 2008, ‘Ganga: A divinity in flow’ (ISBN: 978-81-905877-0-9, Retail price: INR 3000/-) is a one of its kind book on its theme.

Vijay’s most recent two projects are the closed to his heart. A narration plus illustration book on the state of Punjab, titled ‘Sparkling Punjab’ (ISBN: 978-81-905877-1-6, Retail price: INR 3200/-), written jointly with Atul Bhardwaj, captures the spirit of Punjab & Punjabis. A visual delight for almost everyone, it is a nostalgic journey down the memory lane for anyone who has lived and was brought up in the Punjabi heartland. As someone who hails from Punjab, lived his entire childhood & formative years there, he has truly enjoyed sharing the spirit of the state of Punjabthrough this book.

The other subject that he felt extremely strong about, and wanted to write about has resulted in his latest book – HINDUISM: From Maya To Moksha (ISBN: 978-81-905877-2-3, Retail price: INR 395/-)

In his own words, “I always had a feeling that this (Hinduism) oldest of the living world religions was the most maligned, often unjustifiably, increasingly by the vested interests.  To examine the veracity or otherwise of this lurking doubt, I decided to work on the subject. So, I started glancing through whatever related material came my way.  As my interest increased, I started serious study about this tradition of tolerance.  Upon progressing a little further, a realization came to my mind that Hindu Thought, the key to harmonious growth of mankind, lying ignored in the backyard of my own heritage, must be made available to as many people as possible” and hence the book.

The book addresses the question as to ‘What is Hinduism?’ and its evolution and most importantly ‘What it could possibly stand for?’ especially in the current times.
When he wrote the book on Punjab, he loved being identified as the Punjabi who wrote the book on the state where he lived and grew up. With the book on Hinduism, he wants it otherwise. He wants the reader to read it not as a book by a Hindu on his religion but a book by a humanist on a religion that needs to be better understood. A religion that needs to be better understood for people to be able to live better.
