Chandigarh, 9 January, 2013, Specttrum News: The Shah Rukh Khan of Punjabi films as he is acknowledged; the cute faced Jimmy Sheirgill as we fondly know him is slowly diverting himself towards production field.

It is very common sight in film industry that if one quits doing a thing then he might try out another, an actor becoming director or a director producing a film, so on and so forth. Jimmy too is following the trend and has got himself a parallel career of that of a producer. In the past Jimmy has produced Dharti and Taur Mittran di

A soon to release Punjabi flick Saadi Love story too will be a product of his production house. But as it is seen he adheres only to Punjabi films. Jimmy, who started his career with Maachis, went on to become a chocolate boy from Mohabbatein and now has film’s like A Wednesday! , Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster to his credit.

In spite of being majorly active in Bollywood producing movies only in Punjabi seems like partial on part of the actor, now, doesn’t it? And now that Jimmy is turned a full time Producer will he retract from the field of acting?

Saadi Love story produced by Eros International and Jimmy Sheirgill Productions is slated for release on 11th of January. We wish Jimmy all the best with this new venture hoping that he diverts his attention towards producing Hindi cinema as well.

Chandigarh, January 31, 2013, Specttrum NewsCreating a scientific milestone in sector of power generation, Er Sanjay Puri has claimed to invent a ‘Self Rotary Mill’ to generate electricity. Apart from generating absolute pollution free electricity this machine’s running cost is almost equal to zero. ‘Self Rotary Mill’ can be installed anywhere outdoor or indoor due to which it can reduce electricity transport charges to a far extent.

Er Sanjay Puri, Inventor of Self Rotary Mill, said, “I have developed a machine which rotates itself without any external force and it took me more than five years to make it what it is today. My main motive behind its invention is to cater industrial demands of huge power consumption. In this machine the arms or parts of machine are designed to such a proportion and arranged in such a manner that machine rotates itself without any external force. It can definitely replace wind mills due to its advantages. “

Explaining more about the ‘Self Rotary Mill’, he added, “For development of this machine the accuracy is very important. Great accuracy is required in balancing, divisions and the weights, as all the weights should be uniform for all the arms. The speed of the machine would be 7-15 RPM. But the torque would be very high compare to speed. We can get higher speed and torque for generating more electricity by combining more than one machine.”

A Mechanical Engineer from ’94 batch of prestigious MIT, Aurangabad, Snajay Puri had always an edge and inclination towards productive invention. A strong and brilliant minded Puri started this project around six years ago for which he got inspiration from a TV show being broadcasted on Discovery channel. With invention of ‘Self Rotary Mill’ he is all set to revolutionise the parameters of electricity generation and would strive for excellence in his future projects too.

Satinder Sartaaj launching his new album with his parents Satnam Kaur and Balwinder Singh

Chandigarh, 27 February, 2013, Specttrum News: The modern Sufi icon of Punjabi music, Dr Satinder Sartaaj released his much awaited music album 'Afsaane Sartaaj De' at Chandigarh Press Club here today. The release has put an end to the two year long wait for the millions of fans worldwide who were brought back into the fold of good literary poetry and meaningful music by the songs of Dr Sartaaj. A part of the total sale of the CD will be donated to ‘YouWeCan’ NGO, founded by Cricketer Yuvraj Singh for the welfare of cancer patients.
'Afsaane Sartaaj De' continues the trend set by this singer through his earlier albums of rejoining the listeners to traditional folk and Sufi style music along with touching the emotional cords of the listeners through present day issues. The ten songs in this album touch issues from different walks of life and the listeners can associate themselves with most of the songs. While the lyrics are simple and clean, the music and composition gives a traditional touch.
Talking about the new release, Dr Sartaaj said, “The title song 'Soohe Khat' is dedicated to the pre-independence Punjab and the lyrics are a tribute to the true love prevailing in the land of poets. While 'Kudiyo Roya Na Karo' is a song with very touching emotions and encourages the girls not to suppress their dreams and become strong in the present times.”
The video of the first song, ‘Soohe Khat’ would be the first one to hit the various channels and the others would follow. 'Putt Saade', another song with very emotional lyrics is bound to bring a tear or two in the eyes of people who have gone abroad for greener pastures and their families who are left behind and long for their physical presence next to them. The song is a compilation of a list of questions of the parents who inquire about the various dreams with which their kin had flown abroad.
Another marvelous song composed with traditional lyrics and music is ’Maula Ji’. It is a prayer by a helpless man who has been entangled by the miseries of the world and longs for a life free of complexities. Contrary to this, the song 'Khillara' is an attempt to remind a person of his duties who has lost track of them while fulfilling his personal greed. At the same time Sartaaj reminds us the importance of a cleaner and greener environment through his song 'Drakhat' (Trees).
In his own lyrical style, Dr Sartaaj has dedicated another song’ Jang Jaan Wale’ as an ode to those soldiers who knowingly go out to war to protect the people of their motherland even though they know that they might have to pay the ultimate price of their own lives for the task. The other three songs, ‘Khidari’, ‘Dard Gareeban Da’ and ‘Aakhari Appeel’ also throw light on different shades of life and are melodious to an amazing level.
Sartaaj first gained fame with his hit song "Sai" and "Cheerey Waaleya". Since then his popularity has seen a constant surge among the Punjabi diaspora with his shows being held in many countries across the world. Sartaaj attained global recognition with his first Canada Tour in 2009 in which he performed in 18 sold out shows in big cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Edmontonand Calgary. Next he moved and gave his performance in the United States in 2010 and 2011 and performed in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC and 16 other cities.

He started performing on children's stages by the time he was in class 3. After that, he joined GovernmentCollege, Hoshiarpur to complete his graduation in Music with Honours. Chandigarh, 6 March, 2013, Specttrum News: Coming up with a first of its kind venture in the region, Renu Mathur, also known as Ma Divyaeshakti, is venturing into a novel and lesser-known area called ‘Tasseography’. She announced this at Chandigarh Press Club here today. The roots of ‘Tasseography’ are in ancient Middle-East where people used to gather for tea-drinking sessions and mystics gave insights into their lives. It was earlier practiced in small groups before it expanded to a vast set up and gained popularity worldwide
Explaining the art, Renu Mathur said, “Tasseography, which in layman’s term means reading through remnants of tea leaves, will be my new area of divination. The process, which involves looking through the symbols and patterns formed at the bottom of a ceramic bowl or cup, gives an insight into the situation: past and present of the person who is seeking information about herself.”
“We brew tea leaves in a ceramic bowl and the person is then asked to drink the tea. Specific patterns are formed at the bottom and sides of the cup, which are studied and symbolically interpreted to reach answers and conclusions one is trying to seek,” she added.
Coming up with a first of its kind venture in the region, Renu Mathur further says that the method is predominantly based on the aura and electromagnetic field of the seeker at that time. “For extreme clarity, we generally advise people to focus on the questions they are looking answers for while drinking the tea. It also helps us in assessing and foreseeing things in a better way,” asserts Renu Mathur, who is also a Reiki master and aura healer.
Renu Mathur has an experience spanning over two decades in the field of fortune telling and divination. She has been foretelling about relationships, health and professional issues as well as current affairs through tarot cards, rune casting and crystal gazing. Renu has been practicing the Science of Survival as an effort to deal with the aftermath of traumatic situations within families.
