Panchkula, 14 February 2014, Specttrum News: The three-day international salsa festival began at Hotel Bella Vista here today. The first workshop was conducted by Bollywood choreographer Terence Lewis. The 30 hours salsa workshop will comprise 16 amazing dance forms, three parties, one gala performance night and internationally famed 15 instructors including the world famous salsa dancer Natalie Watterson from UK.
The salsa festival is being organized by Club Salsa International in association with BioQue Global Eventz. The dance different dance forms of the festival will also include Bachata, Zouk, Rueda, Pachanga, Kizomba, Bachatango, Afro Cuban, Belly Dance, Comtemporary, Zumba, Reggaeton, Musical Theatre, Burlesque, Bollywood and also Kathak. Addessing a press conference prior to his dance workshop at the festival Terence Lewis said, “Since I don’t have any academy here, I only do workshops that I enjoy conducting. Contestants selected through this event will get admitted to my training academy.”

Talking about his choreography method, the star dance said, “Dance works as a stress buster for me; it should flow in your system, only then can you feel it and move accordingly. First, I have to enjoy the day and then will the actors or anyone else.” Terence has trained extensively in Indian and western dance disciplines, both in India and abroad and is based in his favorite, chaotic city of dreams- Mumbai. Having mastered the fine art of Choreology and studying classical as well as contemporary dance techniques, both in Indian and western disciplines, under several masters, in the US, Europe and India, he established the TL Inc- the Terence Lewis Incorporate, (that houses his Contemporary Dance Company, his Academy and his Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust) to great success.
